Feeding hungry children in Canada
and around the world

Focus: Hamilton, ON

On Thanksgiving weekend in 2008, FTC Canada and Marwan Hage of the Hamilton Tiger Cats delivered food to 1000 hurting families in the City of Hamilton, ON.

Working with social service agencies in Hamilton, FTC Canada was able to identify 1000 families who were in need of a food; which we provided in the form of a complete Thanksgiving meal.

The food box contained 3-4 days of food, approximately 30lbs.  Each family also received a frozen ham courtesy of Marwan Hage’s youth program, Hage’s Heros.

This Thanksgiving we returned to “Steel Town” with the goal of feeding 1500 families.

According to the “Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction” close to 20% of the city’s families live below the poverty line
With your help, we made Thanksgiving 2008 and 2009 a little better and a little brighter.

This year over 1000 families received a Family Food Box. The boxes were made possible by the generous donation of individuals, organizations, churches and companies in and around Hamilton.

This is not the first time or the last that we will come to the assistance of families in Hamilton. We have developed partnerships with over xx distribution partners and we currently count xx procurement partners; all in the City of Hamilton.

You or your organization or business can provide generous support to bring much needed food to Hamilton children and families throughout the year.
